And Then There Was Eight…

Immensus8 (IM8) was formed in early 2009 by the elder statesman of the group, David Wedderburn. To many; the sound of all male voices singing in harmony has no match. The brothers McFarlanes and Draytons were approached with the idea and it was accepted readily. The idea was then brought to two other church brothers, Wilson, and Tony and they too accepted. The group Immensus8 was now formed with those brothers and three others.

In approximately October of 2009, the Lord sent us our 8th member. Our brother, Kevin Tapper, came to us from what seems like, out of the blue. Kevin has since become the primary musical director of the group. Since his arrival, IM8 has made consistent improvement and the Lord is using him to make every member better.

From the beginning there has been a very positive vibe and attitude from all members, and that has not changed. We love to sing! Wherever you see two or more members, normally there is a song being sung! We pride ourselves on being very flexible and are able to sing sweet harmony with four or with eight.

The Lord has blessed our efforts and He has given us the opportunity to minister in song to many congregations and events all over the Tri State area and Canada.

Daily, we want to be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. We want to be new creatures in the Lord. Our inspirational group text is found in Job 11: 7-9: “Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than hell; what canst thou know? The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea”.
Our goal is for the Lord to open our hearts, our eyes, and our ears, so that we as individuals and as a group will be able to discern His bidding so that when He returns to gather His own, we along with those we have sung to, will be able to sing the song of Moses and the Lamb!
